Since his tender childhood, Didier Giot has always been passionate about cookingand fine cuisine. After having worked in very famous and prestigious restaurants, like “La Bourride” (2* restaurant) in Caen, “Le Vivarais” in Lyon, and other restaurants of the group ‘Paul Bocuse’, the Chef and his wife take the decision to try a new experience …. The couple buys the “L’Hostellerie Bressane” , this restaurant located in Saint-Germain- du- Bois.

Still nowadays, Didier and Christelle want to offer to their guests a little time of good quality gastronomy in a convivial atmosphere.

Didier Giot loves the region of “la Bresse”, he uses the products of this region and he suggests a cuisine quite traditional, not without inventing new plates. He will invite you to revisit great classics of the ‘French cuisine’, what a program!?

All plates are prepared with seasonal products, the Chef chooses himself the best suppliers of the region ‘Bourgogne- Franche-Comté’. A large part goes to the specials like the ‘Bresse poultry’ produced at the ‘Ferme de la Bonardière’ and prepared according to the ideas of the Chef.

Your eyes will be as delighted as your mouth, that’s why every guest will be impatient to discover the presentation of the plates, before tasting the delicious meals.

The Chef always tries to create end invent new plates, that’s why the menu changes every two months, and that for the great pleasure of all.

Wine connoisseurs will be happy as well, they will find a wine list largely provided with regional wines and others coming from further areas.

The chef and his team are concerned about your well-being, so they will suggest special meals to vegetarians or to guests allergic to certain products. You will find a check list of the allergenic ingredients on demand.

A friendly and warm atmosphere
 

The dining area is situated in a spacious and bright room, quite elegant and with a certain style and elegance: parquet, fireplace, nice table cloths … you will appreciate both, the ambiance and the cuisine. On the walls you will discover some splendid paintings reflecting regional life in the 18th century.

During your stay and stop in the restaurant, Ms Giot will help you to choose the menu that fits you best and to give you some advice on the visits to organize in our region.

During spring and summer you will be happy to have lunch or dinner on the terrace in the inner yard of the hotel. This haven of peace, its calm, with the nicely colored tables, chairs and umbrellas will make you forget the agitation of the world outside….and invites you to enjoy some goods plates and in idleness, to lazing.

The restaurant is open from 12 to 13h30 and from 19h30 to 21h, except Sunday evening, on Mondays and Tuesdays midday.

During summer time, in July and August, our restaurant will be open even on Sunday evening.

Disabled persons may access to the restaurant only, the entrance is via our parking situated ‘Route de Louhans’.

Family dinners

There is nothing better than a family dinner or a meal surrounded by your loved ones to celebrate some special events with your family or friends. For those special occasions “L’Hostellerie Bressane” offers two large rooms available for round about 40 guests each.

The Chef will be happy to prepare a dinner or an aperitif according to your wishes, tastes and your wallet.

L’HOSTELLERIE BRESSANE” is also offering a Take-Away service, so you will be able to taste delicious meals prepared by the Chef for private meals at home or for your business meals in your office.

The restaurant will respond to your request according to the arrivals of fresh produce and the number of plates to prepare. If you need take away plates for lunch, call the evening before, if it’s for dinner, just call before noon. For special orders, please phone the Chef, he will be pleased to satisfy your special wishes.
