It’s impossible to visit the region of “Bresse Bourguignonne” without tasting its famous gastronomy, one of the major assets of this part of Burgundy: one of the MUST TASTE, the staple of this regional cuisine, is the formidable “Bresse poultry” (volaille de Bresse), but do not miss the butter and the cream, the frog legs, the ‘corniotte’ (stuffed choux pastry, special in Louhans), les “Gaudes” (special gruel made of maize flour, cooked with water or milk), la ‘tarte bressane’ (flat tart made of leavened dough, sprinkled with cream, sugar and pralines)…and there aremany other specials worth discovering….
